ProdSys has been built in Trondheim since 2005. Small team. Founder-led. Profitable on customer revenue, not venture capital.
ProdSys did not start in a boardroom or a venture capital pitch deck. It started on Norwegian offshore installations — where systems fail, audits happen monthly, and a missing serial number on a critical component can shut down operations.
Before ProdSys was founded in 2005, our founder built ERP systems for subcontractors to the Norwegian oil and gas industry — companies that manufactured modules and installations for offshore platforms. That world is unforgiving: thousands of components per module, certificates for every weld, multi-tier subcontractors, and project delays measured in millions of kroner per day. The lessons learned there became the foundation of ProdSys.
That heritage shapes everything we build. Offshore taught us that traceability is not optional. That every component, batch and movement needs an audit trail. That uptime matters more than features. That a system has to work when nobody is watching — and prove that it did when someone finally checks.
ProdSys has been refined since 2005. Most ERP for SMBs is a stripped-down enterprise system. Ours is a workshop-floor and offshore-grade system, packaged for the budget and scale of a small or mid-sized business.
We are a small, focused team of five spread across three countries in Europe. We talk to customers directly, ship features they actually request, and stay close to the businesses we serve. The people who build ProdSys are the people you talk to.
How does a five-person team build and run a complete ERP platform? Three things: time — we have been refining this product for 20 years; deep domain expertise — we know the businesses we serve because we came from one of the most demanding industries on earth; and modern tools — we use AI extensively across development, testing and operations to amplify what a small team can ship.
130+ SMBs — mostly manufacturers, with logistics and trade businesses alongside — have chosen ProdSys over generic accounting tools or enterprise platforms. The reasons are consistent.
A natural question when you learn how small we are: how is that possible? Here is our honest answer.
"Small teams with deep expertise and the right tools can now do what used to take large enterprises. We are proof — and so are the SMBs we serve."
The principles behind ProdSys did not come from textbooks. They came from working in one of the most demanding industries on earth.
Norwegian offshore is unforgiving. Equipment lives in salt water. Operations run around the clock. Every component, batch and operation needs to be traceable — sometimes years later, when an inspector or a court asks for documentation.
That environment teaches you discipline. You cannot rely on convenience. You build systems that work when conditions are bad, that prove what happened when something goes wrong, and that hold up to scrutiny when stakes are high.
We carried those principles into ProdSys — and they turn out to matter just as much for a 10-person workshop in Trøndelag or a 30-person distributor in Bergen as they do for an offshore installation.
Five people. Three countries. One focused product. No layers between you and the team that builds it.
When you choose ProdSys, you are not buying a generic SaaS product from a vendor with a 500-person sales team. You are buying software built by a small, experienced team that has been refining the same product for 20 years — and answers when you call.
That is a deliberate choice. We have stayed small so we can stay focused. We have stayed founder-led so the people making product decisions are the people who hear directly from customers. We have stayed profitable so we never have to chase the next funding round at your expense.
Book a demo and you will meet them directly. No SDRs, no qualification calls — just the team behind the product.
